With an “unstable” structure, which redefines itself with every new creation, the Company project annually invites, since 1999, a renowned choreographer to create a new piece with a group of performers selected through audition, who integrate an artistic residency to later present the work nationally and internationally.

Throughout the years, there have been created and presented works by choreographers such as Amélia Bentes, Nigel Charnock, Jamie Waton, Bruno Listopad, Ronit Ziv, Javier de Frutos, Wim Vandekeybus, Rui Horta, Madalena Victorino, Karine Ponties, Pedro Carvalho, Victor Hugo Pontes, Hofesh Shechter, Joana Providencia, Tiago Rodrigues, Gregory Maqoma, Emmanuelle Huynh, Cia 7273, Mafalda Deville, Willi Dorner, Roberto Olivan, Helder Seabra and, recently, São Castro and António M Cabrita, which have broadly contributed to the development of over a hundred of performers.

The Company’s project creates a vitality with multiple repercussions, in the professional acknowledgement and appreciation of performers and also in the artistic and cultural development of the choreographic heritage.
