futura – Contemporary Dance Platform
futura – Contemporary Dance Platform fosters encounters between artists, programmers, and cultural professionals, contributing to the circulation, visibility, and mediation of emerging contemporary creation.
Held on a biennial basis, the platform seeks to create conditions for the presentation of artistic works, the sharing of practices, and the development of networks between artists, institutions, programmers, and other cultural agents, promoting a space for dialogue, discovery, and collaboration.
The first edition will take place on December 10, 11, and 12, 2026, at Teatro Campo Alegre, Porto.
The program will include different formats of presentation, sharing, and professional encounter.

Background
futura – Contemporary Dance Platform continues the work developed by Instável in supporting the visibility and circulation of emerging artists.
Between 2022 and 2023, Instável developed E.LO – Showcase Instável, a project that aimed to bring emerging creators closer to programmers and artistic curators through online encounters focused on the presentation and discussion of artistic projects.
Based on an approach grounded in sharing, mutual learning, and the building of non-hierarchical relationships, E.LO became a space for experimentation and encounter that informed the reflection leading to the creation of futura.
The sessions were facilitated by Cláudia Galhós. The selection committee included Ana Figueira, Dina Magalhães, and Luís André Sá.
