A “without after” consecration. A sort of posthumous tribute to something that never received its due value. In memory of what once existed, Sagração de quem Era places human interaction with nature under a lens of praise and fiction, in an act of denial, an accidental essay on greenwashing. If the apocalypse were the end, there would be no after. The term “post-apocalyptic” is, in essence, a contradiction. The idea that there is an after following a climate disaster is itself a denialist act of self-sabotage, for the Earth will continue to exist without us. And so I traverse the world, irreversibly, unable to keep up with the time in which I live.
