Na ausência de Ternura, it arises from a need to physically and “performatively” materialize the idea that two lives/two completely unrelated beings can share identical moments and experiences, providing them with a more intuitive and not so obvious perception/understanding of the other. , given the antipodean connections they share.
Juliana Fernandes and Victor Gomes, graduates of Escola Superior de Dança, they crossed paths artistically during their training at Performact in 2019. That same year, they created Na ausência de Ternura.
Juliana Fernandes has developed her work in the field of creation, with notable pieces such as À direita de onde nasce o sol, em frente, Ever Yours, faded Love, Sonata for Vacuum, and H. Strings. She is currently the executive and artistic director, along with Mariana Pombal, of the Lethes em Bruto festival.
Victor Gomes‘ career highlights include his performances in Sem chão, Sem fim and Um fio de ar by Amélia Bentes, SUGAR by the SillySeason collective, and his co-creation with João Cardoso, Adapted to Y&Y. He was also a guest choreographer at the Lethes em Bruto festival.
Currently, Juliana Fernandes and Victor Gomes serve as executive and artistic directors of the AN-TRE training program.
